I rise as a former small-business operator. I worked in one for 15 years with my family. I understand the needs of small business, and I'm proud to be part of this government that has delivered for small business since we came to office in 2022. I wholeheartedly support the Treasury Laws Amendment (Tax Reform No. 3) Bill 2026, because members of my electorate of Bennelong—from small businesses to wage earners to the multinationals in Macquarie Park—have told me that this government needs to be bold on tax reform. Just as my family did and just as I did in my small business, Bennelong's local business owners take on immense personal risk. They employ local residents, they buy from local suppliers and they give our suburban communities their vibrant local character. Whenever I meet with them now in my capacity as a federal member or met with them in my former capacity as mayor—
