It's the hubris of the Prime Minister. He just doesn't seem to care, and I think a few of his other ministers are a bit the same. It's like, 'Priorities? What are priorities? As long as I can have my $150 million presidential pre-COP conference, I'm alright. I don't care if the money comes out of 1.5 million pensioners' pockets.' It beggars belief. 'I don't care if $750 million comes out of veterans as long as I can keep doing what I want to be doing.'
We saw it today. The hubris from the Prime Minister was quite extraordinary. He got a question on the 600 workers in Whyalla who had lost their jobs. Would he front up and answer it? No—just flick it.
