Thank you. But that is why the community is so angry. That is why passions are running so high against this tax. It is because the people feel deceived. They feel double-crossed. They feel cheated. They feel they have been lied to. They feel they have not had their say. That is the amendment.

And to the so-called Independents: shame on you. The strength and legitimacy of the Independents in this place in the past have been based on the principles of keeping the bastards honest, but their actions of aiding and abetting this Prime Minister in breaking her promise to the electorate is why they have lost the respect of their own electorates.
