I have received a letter from Senator Walsh, resigning from her place as a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia; and from the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, nominating Senator Askew to serve as a member of the council.

That, in accordance with the provisions of the National Library Act 1960, the Senate elect Senator Askew to be a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia for a period of 3 years, on and from today, in place of Senator Walsh.
