That—

in accordance with the provisions of the Archives Act 1983, the Senate elect Senator Dean Smith to be a member of the National Archives of Australia Advisory Council for a period of 3 years, on and from today.

I can't think of a better senator for this. With his very fastidious eye for detail, that's an excellent appointment.
