I rise to give a personal explanation relating to comments attributed to me by Kate McClymont and Linton Besser on page 273 of their book He who must be obeyed. I apologise unreservedly to both Kate McClymont and Kristina Keneally for wronglyleaving the impression that Kristina's relationship with Mr Eddie Obeid was anything other than the normal interaction between a party leader and a backbench MP. I note the strong statements Kristina has made in many forums reiterating her shock and dismay at the various revelations about the conduct of Mr Obeid and others.
