That there be laid on the table by the Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection no later than noon on Friday, 21 February 2014, a copy of the report of the Review of Operation Sovereign Borders Vessel Positioning December 2013 – January 2014 and accompanying documents identified in part 10 of the review terms of reference.

The government will not be supporting this motion as we consider it to be redundant. The opposition will be receiving a copy of the review. This fact has been outlined to both the shadow minister for immigration and border protection and the member for Kingsford Smith, who have both received a full confidential briefing on Operation Sovereign Borders and are therefore aware of the imperative for operational security.
