I seek leave to table the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Fee Schedules for Medical Services for the period 1 November 2008 to 31 October 2009 as well as for the period 1 November 2009 to 31 October 2010, which recently miraculously disappeared from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs website, and the Health Insurance (Cataract Surgery) Determination 2009.

Leave granted.

Together these documents indicate that the government has been increasing the rebate for item 42702 through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs by 2.3 per cent while significantly reducing it through the Medicare Benefits Schedule, as was asked about in question time.
