I wish to inform the Senate that Senator Ian Campbell, the Minister for the Environment and Heritage, will be absent from question time today. Senator Ian Campbell is attending ministerial consultations in preparation for the 12th conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. During Senator Ian Campbell’s absence, Senator Eric Abetz will answer questions in relation to environment and heritage, defence, veterans affairs, transport and regional services, local government, territories and roads—and very capably, I am sure.
