That the following matter be referred to the Economics References Committee for inquiry and report by 30 October 2026:

Existing vulnerabilities in the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System Low Value Clearing and Low Value Settlement Services systems, with particular reference to:

(a) the Reserve Bank of Australia's report, 27 January 2026 payments settlements outage: RITS Low Value Clearing and Settlement Services and property batch disruption;

(b) the impact of disruption on consumer and industry confidence in property settlement services; and

(c) any other related matters.
