Further to an answer I gave in question time to Senator Hanson—I said if I had some numbers I would come back to her—I can confirm that, in the 2023-24 budget, $9.9 million over five years was provided to AEMO for arrangements related to the Capacity Investment Scheme, and $6.4 million was provided to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water to design the auction process. The Capacity Investment Scheme and the work that has gone into that indicate that $73 billion in investment in our electricity sector will be generated by the arrangements under the scheme. Other costs relating to specific projects, whilst accounted for in our budget books, are not for publication due to commercial reasons.
