At the request of Senator Bragg, I move:

That the Senate—

(a) notes that:

(i) order for the production of documents no. 27, agreed to by the Senate on 24 July 2025, requesting that the Minister representing the Treasurer, by no later than midday on Monday, 28 July 2025, table all documents relating to any advice provided by the Treasury to the Treasurer and the Minister for Housing since 1 January 2025 in relation to the Government's plan to invest $10 billion for 100,000 new homes for first home buyers and any advice provided to the Treasurer and the Minister for Housing since 1 January 2025 in relation to the Government's plan to enable first home buyers to purchase a home with a 5% deposit was only partially complied with,

(ii) the tabled documents do not provide any briefings/modelling conducted by the Treasury into the scheme, as sought by the order,

(iii) the minister's explanation to the Senate pertaining to the failure to adequately comply with the order did not provide a credible response as to why the requested documents have not been released in their entirety, and

(iv) the Prime Minister has previously stated that the Treasury's briefing/modelling indicated an increase in house prices of 0.5%; and

(b) requires the Minister representing the Treasurer to comply with the order by no later than 5.30 pm on Thursday, 6 November 2025.
