If it's farcical and people are disrespecting my authority, I would ask senators to reflect on their own behaviour. I was prepared to hear Senator Mulholland finish her sentence. I have reminded her that she needs to inform the chamber as to what is so urgent about her matter that it requires the standing orders to be abandoned.
