I move:

(1) That the following matter be referred to the Procedure Committee for inquiry and report by 27 October 2025:

Amending standing order 72(4) to ensure the allocation of opportunities to move to take note of answers is fair and proportionate to the representation of each party and independent senator.

(2) That the committee have the power to consider and use the records of the Procedure Committee appointed in the previous parliament.
