Order! Earlier today the President informed the Senate that she has received letters from senators seeking appointment to the single crossbench position on the following committees: Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee, the Finance and Public Administration References Committee, the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee, the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade References Committee, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee and the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee.

In accordance with the standing orders, a ballot will be held to determine which of the senators are to be appointed to the committees.
