I move an amendment to the government's amendment, circulated in my name:

At the end of the motion, add: "and:

(a) the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Reform) Bill 2024 and the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Communications) Bill 2024 [Provisions] be referred immediately to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 3 February 2025; and

(b) the Migration Amendment (Prohibiting Items in Immigration Detention Facilities) Bill 2024 be referred immediately to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 10 February 2025".
