Pursuant to contingent notice, and at the request of the Leader of the Government in the Senate, Senator Wong, I move:

That so much of standing orders be suspended as would prevent a minister moving a motion to provide for the consideration of a matter, namely a motion to allow a motion concerning the hours of meeting and routine of business for today to be moved and determined immediately.

And I move:
