The government will be opposing this motion. I just remind Senator Faruqi that there is the Parliamentary Budget Office, which was established to inform the parliament by providing independent, non-partisan analysis of budget cycle fiscal policy and financial implications of proposals, and that that could be used to provide the information she seeks.
