I move motion No. 1160:

That the Senate—

(a) notes that:

(i) Friday, 25 June 2021 is International Day of the Seafarer, and

(ii) throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, seafarers have found themselves on the front line of the global response and subject to difficult working conditions surrounding uncertainties and difficulties around port access, re-supply, crew changeovers and repatriation; and

(b) calls on federal, state and territory governments to acknowledge that the 2021 Day of the Seafarer is dedicated to encouraging all governments to support seafarers and calls on them to support a fair future for seafarers.
