Community Sport Infrastructure Program; Order for the Production of Documents

I move:

(1) That there be laid on the table by the Minister for Youth and Sport, by no later than midday on Tuesday 11 February 2020, the spreadsheet colour-coding the over 2,000 grant applications under the Community Sport Infrastructure Program according to the party that held the electorate as referred to in media reports and in the Auditor-General report No of 2019-20.

(2) In the event the Minister fails to table the documents requested in paragraph (1), the Senate requires the Minister for Youth and Sport attend the Senate at 9 am on Wednesday 12 February 2020 to provide an explanation, of no more than 10 minutes, of the Government's failure to table the documents requested in paragraph (1).

(3) Any senator may move to take note of the explanation required by paragraph (2).

(4) Any motion under paragraph (3) shall have precedence over all business until determined, and senators may speak to the motion for not more than 15 minutes.

I move:

(1) That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Attorney General, by no later than 12 pm on 11 February 2020, advice provided to the Attorney-General, including by the Australian Government Solicitor, in relation to the legal authority of the former Minister for Sport to undertake an approval role for funding decisions under the Community Sport Infrastructure Program.

(2) In the event the Minister fails to table the documents requested in paragraph (1), the Senate requires the Minister representing the Attorney-General, to attend the Senate at 9 am on 12 February 2020 to provide an explanation, of no more than 10 minutes, of the Government's failure to table the documents requested in paragraph (l).

(3) Any senator may move to take note of the explanation required by paragraph (2).

(4) Any motion under paragraph (3) shall have precedence over all business until determined, and senators may speak to the motion for not more than 15 minutes.
