Labor welcomes this legislation, which will extend the reporting date for the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security's review of the assistance and access act from 13 April 2020 to 30 September 2020. The extension of this reporting date is appropriate to allow the findings to be considered by the PJCIS in their 2020 report. Labor will be supporting this legislation.
