I move:

That the Senate take note of the document.

I will keep my remarks very brief. I note that the industry continues to significantly outperform expectations. The animal livestock trade, particularly based in my home state of WA, has done an absolutely extraordinary job of reducing the level of mortalities in the trade, as once again demonstrated by this latest report. I won't go through the numbers in detail; they're here for everyone to see. In a very large number of cases, there were zero mortalities, particularly on cattle vessels. From my very rapid glance through the numbers, the highest level of mortalities in this period was around 47 deaths on a particular boat, which is a very low mortality rate indeed. The livestock trade continues to clean up its act. It continues to get better every day. I just want noted for the record what an outstanding job live trade is doing, both economically and in terms of animal welfare.

Question agreed to.
