I too rise to take note of the government's response to the report Involuntary or coerced sterilisation of people with disabilities in Australia and, our second report, Involuntary or coerced sterilisation of intersex people in Australia. I chaired this committee inquiry—in fact, it was two inquiries in one, because we did the second report on coerced sterilisation of intersex people in Australia. At this point, I want to note former senator Louise Pratt, who very strongly worked on this issue—and, in fact, urged the committee to make a separate report on involuntary or coerced sterilisation of intersex people in Australia.
