Questions without Notice: Take Note of Answers

I move:

That the Senate take note of the answers given by the Minister for Indigenous Affairs (Senator Scullion) to questions without notice asked by Senators Sterle and McLucas today relating to the provision of services for Indigenous Australians and to staffing matters at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Labor senators are compelled to maintain a focus on Senator Scullion's answers in question time for two reasons: what he says—which is unbelievable in many circumstances—and the way he says it. Last week, when he was asked about staff morale in the Indigenous affairs section of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, he said that morale was at an all-time high and that people were delighted to be working for the new government.
