I can indicate that in a recent telephone conversation with the Prime Minister, Prime Minister al-Abadi indicated Iraq would welcome any Australian military contribution to international efforts to help eliminate ISIL. He also noted that the concerted international efforts to fight ISIL will contribute to the stability of Iraq, the region and the world.
