The Minister for Defence Materiel has provided the following answer to the honourable senator’s question:

(1) The number of Navy uniformed personnel employed in the Defence Materiel Organisation as at 01 June 2011 was 303, the approved limit is 370.

(2) The approved limit for each of the following financial years:

2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 are:

(a) 2012-13 figure is 370;

(b) 2013-14 figure is 375;

(c) 2014-15 figure is 379; and

(d) 2015-16 figure is 383.
