I respect Senator Coonan's wish not to have formal valedictories. I respect that—and I think I probably encourage it, having done 12 in a row a short time ago! On behalf of all Labor senators, I acknowledge her considerable contribution in the Senate and her very successful career in this place. I wish her well for the future and indicate that she leaves with our respect and best wishes.
