Questions without Notice

Mr President, I ask a further supplementary question. When did the government make the decision to rip the funding from the King River project on the west coast and divert it to the fox task force? Is it a fact that prior to this decision the government had no plan to fund fox eradication in Tasmania?

The ongoing funding with taxpayers money of "fox" eradication in Tasmania simply amazes the majority of Tasmanians...in the past eight years not one fox has been trapped, shot, recovered from 1080 baiting or even photographed in Tasmania.
As Senator Abetz said in 2006 "if we are still talking about eradicating foxes in the years to come, it simply means we have lost...they are here and established".
That does not appear to be the case.
