Thank you, Mr President, I accept your admonishment. This is an important health measure. It has been supported by doctors’ groups, by health experts and by police groups. For those opposite who have dug themselves into this hole to be now trying, through this stunt of a question, to extricate themselves is just embarrassing on their behalf. There is a very simple answer to these questions: pass the bill. You will get a better health outcome and you will get a better economic circumstance for Australia. Pass the bill.

Does Senator Conroy ever answer a question without aggressively attacking the person who asked it, its supposed to be a debate not a tantrum.

If they want a health outcome, focus on health. Alcohol in general has a large health affect on Australians, not just alcopops. Its just an easy bandaid solution so they can appear to be doing something. Senator Conroy should focus on long term solutions that fix the problem. And seriously bringing to economic crisis into this to divert peoples attention, its only economically irresponsible to implement intermittent closed mined measures which helps no one.
