by leave—These are truly dreadful events that have happened in Mumbai. I note the minister’s statement and of course associate the coalition unreservedly with the sentiments expressing sympathy to those who have been targeted and to their families. All Australians condemn the perpetrators of these cowardly and frightful attacks on innocent civilians in Mumbai, which do demonstrate, I agree with Senator Faulkner in the clearest terms, that terrorist groups are active in South Asia. So we unreservedly associate ourselves with the sentiments of the government and extend our deepest sympathy to those who have been targeted.
