I look forward to making my contribution to this debate this afternoon in this chamber. I think it is very important to ask what we are going to do. I will tell all senators opposite what we are going to do. We are going to be accountable. We are not going to perfect the art of pork-barrelling like the previous Howard administration did. I can certainly say that. The previous government did that. They did it systematically and effectively. Whether it was under the banner of Sustainable Regions, Regional Partnerships or Growing Regions, the National and Liberal members had pork-barrelling down to a very fine art.
