My question is to Senator Johnston in his capacity representing the Minister for Local Government, Territories and Roads. Is the minister aware if any Queensland local councils that are set to be wiped out by the actions of the state Labor government have taken any action to conduct a plebiscite or referendum with their local constituents? Could the minister indicate what the Australian government is doing to assist the people of Queensland in exercising their democratic right to be heard?
