The report read as follows—

SELECTION OF BILLS COMMITTEE

REPORT NO. 6 OF 2007

1.
The committee met in private session on Thursday, 29 March 2007 at 3.15 pm.
2.
The committee resolved to recommend—That—       (a)   the provisions of the Corporations (NZ Closer Economic Relations) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2007 be referred immediately to the Economics Committee for inquiry and report by 4 May 2007;       (b)   the provisions of the Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Legislation Amendment (Child Support Reform Consolidation and Other Measures) Bill 2007 be referred immediately to the Community Affairs Committee for inquiry and report by 8 May 2007;       (c)   the provisions of the Native Title Amendment (Technical Amendments) Bill 2007 be referred immediately to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee for inquiry and report by 8 May 2007;

2) Bill 2007 be referred immediately to the Economics Committee for inquiry and report by 30 April 2007.

The committee recommends accordingly.

The committee deferred consideration of the following bills to its next meeting:               Governance Review Implementation (Science Research Agencies) Bill 2007               Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Amendment Bill 2007
