My question is to the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Coonan, in her capacity representing the Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer. Will the minister inform the Senate of the importance of a well-structured tax system to the Australian economy? Further, will the minister update the Senate on the financial benefits of the GST for my home state of New South Wales?
