I had a private discussion with Senator Wong about potentially dealing with government amendments (6) and (7) at this point. As I understand it, those amendments were in fact developed through consensus and therefore I assume are not controversial. But, if it is the intention of Labor senators who are currently not in the chamber to debate those amendments, I am happy to continue the schedule as planned.
