I want to be fair to the Leader of the Opposition. Unlike media reports about the shadow treasurer, he's declared his interests. The member for Hume has registered his interests in family trusts and in holding companies, but the question is: what is floating under the Cayman-like waves of those arrangements?
On 10 March, the Sydney Morning Herald reported:

Ultimately, it leaves a lot unaccounted for behind Taylor's main company, Gufee Pty Ltd, so listed on his official register of interests.
The Courier Mail in February reported:
Mr Taylor holds interests in an estimated nine properties across New South Wales, the majority structured in a network of private companies—

rather than in his personal name.
Today, as millions of Australians across this nation receive yet another tax cut, the three parties of the right want to defend the status quo that gives tax breaks to passive income. The question is: is that in the national interest or is it in their personal interest?
