The budget has delivered great news for the commuters in Bonner. We've got $300 million for the Brisbane Metro, we've got $1 billion to upgrade the M1, and I'm pleased to see the Queensland government has agreed to match our funding for these vital services. We've also got a new $1 billion Urban Congestion Fund. The Urban Congestion Fund is wonderful news for the almost 5,000 people who have signed my petition to fix the Lindum Station crossing. This fund will support local projects that bust congestion with a focus on last-mile access to export ports, airports, employment and freight hubs. The Lindum crossing falls well within this realm of criteria, and I want to assure locals that the Lindum Crossing is a top priority for me. I'm fighting very hard to make sure this crossing is fixed as soon as possible, and I want to make sure that people can get to and from work on time. I want to be able to tell parents they'll be able to drop off and pick up their children at the school zone safely. I took Minister Fletcher out to inspect the crossing recently. He told me an upgrade to this crossing could potentially receive funding through programs like the Urban Congestion Fund. This is great news and I'll be fighting hard to secure funding so this crossing can be updated as soon as possible.
