Law Enforcement

Tuesday, 24 October 2017 House of Representatives

Michael Keenan

Michael Keenan Stirling, Liberal Party, Minister for Justice

3:20 pm

Mr Speaker, there are two ways that the Labor opposition can get me to stop talking about this. Firstly, they can pull a stunt like they just did, where they tried to close me down in question time. What would be preferable is if they looked at their position, realised that the status quo is not acceptable and supported the reform that we are making to make sure that child sex offenders spend time in prison.

Malcolm Turnbull

Malcolm Turnbull Wentworth, Liberal Party, Prime Minister

Mr Speaker, I ask that further questions be placed on the Notice Paper.
