I have received a letter from the honourable member for Melbourne Ports resigning his position on the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security, and advice from the Honourable the Prime Minister nominating a member to be a member of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security.

I move:

That, in accordance with the provisions of the Intelligence Services Act 2001, Mr Jenkins be appointed a member of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security.
