Last week, the Australian wrote that I spoke to the Deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, lobbying her to cancel her planned overseas travel. That is not the case and, if the journalist, Patricia Karvelas, had bothered to phone me or my office, she might have got her facts right. It always pays for journalists to check their facts.
