First off, I thank the Leader of the House and his office for his engagement on the procedure this week and especially for making that change. We support that amendment.

But I also say to the House that what the government is doing and that we will oppose is a complete and utter mega gag. We could come back next week. We could come back for a sitting fortnight. The lack of transparency when it comes to this government is absolutely appalling—gag after gag after gag. We've just been gagged from getting the Prime Minister to come into this place and admit his mistruths and admit that he can't be upfront with the Australian people. It's gag after gag after gag.
