Questions without Notice
Bowel Cancer

My question is to the Minister for Health and Ageing. Young Australians are being diagnosed with early onset bowel cancer at the highest known rate in the world. Many report that GPs are reluctant to screen because of their young age, which is leading to advanced cancers being diagnosed. How can the government better raise awareness among young people about early onset bowel cancer, and what supports can be provided to GPs to encourage earlier access of screening?
