The Albanese Labor government is delivering for working families. Whether it be investments in Medicare, housing, roads, infrastructure or cost-of-living relief, we're focused on what matters. Our investments in bulk-billing have seen the number of local GP clinics that fully bulk-bill more than double to over 90 per cent since I came to this House. That's helping see over 95 per cent of all patient visits in Calwell now fully bulk-billed, and we're not stopping at the clinic. Our commitment to cheaper medicines has seen locals access over two million cheaper scripts as we cap the cost of medicines on the PBS—a bit of a Back to the Future to 2004 prices.

When it comes to cost-of-living support, we're supporting first home buyers get a foothold into the market because we see homeownership for what it is—helping families get the stability they need in attaining the security of a home. What that's meant for people in my community is an uptake of this government's five per cent deposit scheme that is amongst the highest in the country. Over 4,000 locals have bought their first home thanks to this policy alone. This Labor budget will continue to build on Labor's reforms, which are making a real impact on the lives of people right throughout my community. Rather than standing still, this budget and this government are focused on fairness for all Australians and addressing the inequalities that have held people back and left them behind for too long.
