That this bill be now read a second time.

Today I'm also introducing the Superannuation Guarantee Charge Amendment Bill 2025.

This bill works in conjunction with the Treasury Laws Amendment (Payday Superannuation) Bill 2025 that I just spoke at length about to make sure superannuation is paid on time.

The amendments in this bill will ensure the superannuation guarantee charge is imposed for any day wages are paid and there is a shortfall of contributions.

For all of the reasons I outlined in my previous speech, I commend it to the House.

Once again, full details of the measure are contained in the explanatory memorandum.
