My question is to the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs. The Albanese government has released 149 criminals from immigration detention. The Australian Federal Police, in evidence to Senate estimates last night, revealed that a number of these criminals have been arrested multiple times. Minister, why has the government so far failed to apply for even one community safety order to lock these people up? Why is the government instead running a 'catch and release' program?
