I wish to report to the House that on 22 December 2022, I received advice from the Chief Government Whip nominating members to be members of the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters. In accordance with standing order 229(b), as the House was not expected to sit for several weeks, the appointment became effective on that date, but I now call the minister to move a motion to resolve the membership of the committee.
