he SPEAKER (): I inform the House that on the 22 February 2022 I received a letter from Nicholas David Champion resigning his seat as the member for the electoral division of Spence. With a general election pending, I have decided writs will not be issued and a by-election will not be held. This will avoid the necessity for the electors of Spence to participate in three elections within a short period of time.
