Today in question time the member for Blaxland misrepresented me—as did the ABC about a week ago—in relation to the growth in homelessness versus population. Both claimed I referred to the period from the 2011 census to the 2016 census. That's untrue. I was very clear that over a 15-year period from 2001 to 2016, three levels of homelessness reduced despite a 20 per cent increase in the Australian population.
