I thank members for their contributions to the debate on this bill. The Professional Services Review scheme and the Medicare Participation Review Committee process are important parts of the government's efforts to protect the integrity of the Medicare Benefits Schedule and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. I would like to thank the opposition for their agreement to the swift passage of this important legislation. The bill will ensure that the Professional Services Review scheme continues to operate effectively so that Medicare can provide high-quality, appropriate and safe health services for all Australians.
