I refer the Prime Minister, to whom this question is directed, to the government's own Treasury modelling that predicts that output in Australia's aluminium industry, which sustains some 10,000 families, will decrease by 61.7 per cent because of the carbon tax. Why is the Prime Minister introducing the world's biggest carbon tax when the government's own advice shows that it will destroy an industry, cost jobs and hurt struggling communities?
